Hey y'all. Well, Al left this weekend to go back to the sand. I haven't heard from him since 10 p.m. on Saturday night - and he hadn't left Dallas yet because of mechanical problems with the plane. I know that he will call as soon as he is able to but I am still pretty numb and sad about all of it. R&R was absolutely wonderful and amazing and I couldn't believe how instaneously comfortable we were with one another - but it's a terrible feeling when all that is taken away from you again after two weeks.
I'm not trying to be a big complainer though, because I would much rather be able to smile and look back at those memories than to not to have had the opportunity to have them at all. We are looking at 'around' four-five months left after this. Even though the goodbye was hard, it was much better than January. There are not so many unknowns this time. And although he was saying goodbye to me and the kids, his 'home' right now is really with the other guys at his FOB.

You look so happy! Congratulations to both of you, your photos look wonderful. My dh will be coming home for RnR in November. I'm already dreading the goodbye.
Well, Mrs. Big Al, you guys look so beautiful and happy!
We've never had R and R during a deployment. Of course we've never had a deployment longer than five months. It must be so hard to say goodbye again!
You're in my thoughts.
Omigawsh! What awesome pictures! I love the first two of you - you look so happy (and more than a little mischievous)!
Positively adorable.
What a great... "everything"!
Congratulations, what a gorgeous couple!!!

I wanted to say that I think you're a beautiful bride and a wonderful wife. Thanks for stopping by my site to let me know you're here.
Bless you, your kidlets and of course, "Big Al."
Take care.

Great photos! So many happy memories to work with during the next few months. Hoping they go fast for your family and that you're back in each others' arms in no time!

These are great pictures, and my family says CONGRATULATIONS! It is great that you shared your special day with those of us traveling the blogosphere! Here is to you both, may life be ever fruitful, and may the near future pass quickly so that you once again share the same air, the same sky, and the same quiet time.
Congrats, and take care!
